We all carry a story we already know the world needs to hear. You've felt it, that certainty, sitting somewhere just behind the sternum, the sense that if people could only receive this the way you hold it, something would change.

And then the moment comes. The spotlight finds you. You're at the microphone, the room goes quiet, and something strange happens. You say it. The words actually leave you, in the right order, more or less the way you rehearsed. And it still doesn't land.

The idea goes out, and comes back unrealised. The dream drifts right past the people it was built for. They nod. They're polite. But they don't lean in, and you can feel the difference. And somewhere in the quiet afterward you're left turning it over, wondering how something that was so alive, so clear, so obvious inside your own head arrived in the room as something they couldn't quite hold. Alone. In a reality that made perfect sense from the inside, and somehow wouldn't cross the gap.

Because that's what it is. A gap. Between the story you carry and the one that actually reaches them. And it was never a flaw in you, and never a flaw in the story, it's a skill nobody taught you. The skill of carrying a message across that distance intact. And that, more than anything, is what you can learn to do.
